Q1: Can I read the basic information (such as bit rate and sample rate) of the file I loaded into the program? Where is it?
A: You can get the information of the file from our program. After it is loaded, please highlight it and then open "Show File Information" item in the "File" menu. In the following small dialog-box, you will read the information of the file, including codec, bit rate and sample rate, etc. If your file has its own Tag information, the information will be shown there, too.Q2: Where are the other settings like audio codec despite bit rate, sample rate and volumn on the right panel?
A: You are just in "Simple" setting mode presently. The program has two different setting modes, "Simple" and "Advanced". The default one is the "Simple". In this mode, you can only find 4 necessary settings, bit rate, sample rate volume and channel. On the right top of the "Profile" drop-down list, you will find two buttons, "Simple" and "Advanced". If you want to switch to the "Advanced" one, please just click the corresponding button. In the "Advanced" mode, you can set more things, such as "Start Time", "Duration" and Tag information items for MP3 and WMA outputs.Q3: I found that I cannot adjust "Bit Rate" setting for some of the output formats, such as WAV, FLAC and APE. Why?
A: Generally, for most of the media formats, the audio bit rate value will be connected with the output quality. The better quality you want, the larger number you should set for audio bit rate.Q4: Is your program able to help me rename the output media file?
A: No problem. But you must enter "Advanced" setting mode in this situation. On the right panel of the main interface, you can find an item called "File name". After your file is loaded, please highlight it in the program. And then, enter the name you want for the final output file in this field and press "Enter" to confirm. After the conversion is done, the content you input for this field will be the name of the output file.Q5: Can the program rename the output files automatically if I convert a file into same format several times saving in the same output folder?
A: Please open "Tools-Preference" and select "Automatically rename as " there. Generally, it is the default option.Q6: What does "Add DirectShow Files" mean?
A: In this new audio tool, we add such an item in the File menu. It provides a much more stable way to decode Microsoft files. If you load a Microsoft file into the program by DirectShow option, it will be converted better than common way. For example, if you convert a WMA to other formats, the output file would not be played properly in certain situations. But it will not happen if you load it into the program by DirectShow option.Q7: Where can I found the output files after the conversion or converting?
A: After our software shows "complete" for the conversion or converting job, please click "Open" button which can be found at the bottom of the main interface. You will reach the destination folder directly, from where you will find the output files for your conversion or converting job. Generally, the default destination folder for our program is "C:Temp".Q8: How can I import many files simultaneously?
A: You have many ways to load files you want to convert simultaneously. You'd better put all your files into one folder and open it with our software. Multi-selection is available by pressing "CTRL" key and highlighting them at same time.Q9: Is it possible to save the profile with some modified settings as a new one to use it directly each time?
A: It can be done by the "Save As" function. After you finish the modifications, please click the widget on the right part of the “Profile” list so that you can find "Save As" option and then you will be able to finish other jobs following instructions. After the profile is created, you can delete or re-name it as you like.Q10: I just want a clip/segment of my video files. Is it possible?
A: Yes. You need set "Start Time" and "Duration" to get the clip you want. They are only shown in the “Advanced” setting mode. First of all, you should highlight the loaded file in the program. And then enter correct values for "Start Time" and "Duration", which can be found on the right panel of the interface. For example, if you want a 3-minute-clip from the 1 minutes of the whole media file, please enter "00:01:00" for "Start Time" and "00:03:00" for duration.Q11: Why is the output WMA file not playable?
A: Please check the version of your Windows Media Player. If it is not V10.0, please get it upgraded from www.microsoft.com. It is free.Q12: Can I edit the Tag information for the output audio file?
A: You can modify them in the MP3 and WMA outputs in our program. The default settings will help you retain those original items. If you do not want those information items, please select “False” option for "ID3v1" or "ID3v2" settings on the right panel. If you are pleasant that the output file has new Tag messages, you can enter what you want in the "Summary" column on the right panel. What you entered in those fields will be written into the output file.Q13: Why does the program show me that the information of the Audio CD cannot be got when I click "CDDB" button in the Convert part?
A: Maybe the CDDB remote server which we integrated into the program is busy now. Or the condition of your current Internet access is not very good. Please open "Tools-Preference", and in the "CDDB" tab, you will see the server we offered. It is a free one. If you know other CDDB servers, you can add them into the program by click "Change". And then in the following dialog-box, you will complete the "Add" and "Delete" server job. But the default server which we integrated into the program can not be deleted.Q14: Can I change the way to name the output file?
A: Of course. It is also in the "Tools-Preference". In the File tab, you will find the drop-down list that enables you to select the way to name output files. It has 6 different ways offered, including various combinations in Index, Filename, Artist and Album. If you check on the option below: Configure to convert, the option you selected will also be used in the Convert part of the program. But you must be sure that the original file you loaded into the program has proper ID Tag information so that it can be used to name the output file correctly.Q15: Is it possible to adjust the interval time between each audio track to burn?
A: The waiting time between each track on the final burned disk can be set between 1-5 seconds. The default value for it is 1 second. It is a drop-down list on the right panel of the main interface in the Burn part. In the list, the number from 1-5 is offered.Q16: Does your program support CD-RW? What about if my RW disk is not an empty one?
A: Of course you can burn an Audio CD with your RW disk. If you put a RW disk which has data on it into the drive and start the burning job, our software will show you a message and tell you that your disk is not empty. And in the dialog-box, it provides the option to erase the disk. So you can get your RW disk erased directly by our program and then use it to finish burning job. And also, in the Action menu, you can find the item to erase your RW disk, too.Q17: Is it possible that my PC is automatically turned down after the job I want is done?
A: Our program offers you such an option. In the “Tools” menu, there is an item called “After work”. And you can find 5 different sub-items there. The default one is “No Action”. If you like, you can select whether the PC is shut down or stand by after the conversion or converting job is done. It is not available in the burning part because you must manually confirm the burning job is over at the end of the burning process.
